There are two routes to Avalon from downtown Austin. The trip time is about a half hour either way and the millage is almost exactly the same. Both are listed here to provide options during times of high-traffic.
One route is to head north on I-35
Continue to follow I-35 N (go 14.7 mi)
Take exit 250 toward TX-TOLL-45 / TX-TOLL-1 / Louis Henna Blvd (go 1mi.)
Turn right at Louis Henna Blvd/TX-45 E (go 1.6 mi)
Take the ramp on the left onto TX-45-TOLL E (go 1.7 mi)
Take the ramp to FM-685/TX-130/Kelly Ln (go 0.3 mi)
Continue on Kelly Ln
An alternate route is to head north on the 130 Toll road
Take exit 238B to merge onto US-290 E toward Houston
(go 6.6 mi)
Take the ramp on the left to TX-130-TOLL N/TX-45-TOLL N/Waco (go 9.2 mi)
Take exit 428A toward FM-685 S/Kelly Ln (go 1 mi)
Turn right at Kelly Ln (go 1.3 mi)
